Wrapping up September with a Weekend Recap

I hope yall had a great weekend! I can’t believe it’s the first day of October. This year has flown by for me. I had a packed weekend  filled with lots of food, friends, and laughter.

Saturday Night

I was honored to be asked to attend a launch party for the Bold Babes Company!

Photography retrieved from Bold Babes Website

It is a company about empowering women in their business ventures and connecting with others in the community. Shampaigne founded this business and it was such a pleasure to spend a night with her and fellow BOLD women! I met women who were photographers, bloggers, event planners, and entrepreneurs.

Another fellow blogger- Alexa Edwards. Check out her travel blog here

B.I.B.S. aka Beverages in Bags

I also found my  new favorite container to drink from! The girls at “Drink B.I.B.S.” invented this brilliant yet simple way to improve how you drink! My first thought was “oh these are cute adult capri sun alcoholic drinks.” While it might look like that (which is super adorable), it functions as so much more!

Functions & Uses :

  • These containers have two finger holes at the top where you can hold your drink while simultaneously holding your phone or your food plate.
  • The bag has a ziplock at the top!! This prevents the drink from spilling  and helps secure your drink if you put it down. “Lock your drink” then no one can secretly slip something in your beverage.
  • Comes with a straw and a place to hold it if you need to “zip up” your drink.
  • You provide the alcohol and then they make the mixed drink and bring it to your party! It would be great for getting ready for a wedding or on a party bus!

I am not sponsored in anyway by these ladies but it was such a genius invention that I had to share! This was their first ever event and they rocked it! Contact them here for your next event!

What I wore

Top is from last year but I found it in black here! It’s from Val’s Boutique in Knoxville which is my favorite affordable boutique! My favorite pair of black jeans ever! These booties are 20% off right now! I have had them for almost four years so they are worth the investment! Kendra Scott look a like earrings for under $20.

This event reminded me that we need to encourage each other and continuously be uplifting other women instead of putting each other down.

The most fun I had all weekend was on Sunday night with a group of girl friends! We attended the Heather McDonald Juicy Scoop Live Show at Addison Improv. Not only were Heather McDonald and Chris Franjola there, so were two of the RHOD- Stephanie Hollman and Brandi Redmond!!

We had to take our picture with Chris Franjola in front of the Joan Rivers picture

Heather came out dressed as Luann De Lesseps (Real Housewives of New York) to her song “Money Can’t Buy You Class.” It was hilarious!!! The Juicy Scoop Podcast was recorded live! I will let yall know when it’s posted! She also did other real housewives impersonations that included Ramona Singer, Lisa Vanderpump, Dorit, Kelly Dodd, Shannon Beador, Gina, and Lisa Rinna. She was beyond hilarious! Sadly we weren’t allowed to take pictures or record the show. The pictures that I did managed to steal were either right before the show or right after! It was such a fun night!

Post show- sneaking a quick picture of Heather McDonald, Brandi, and Stephanie!

Sweet Stephanie coming to talk to Alina again

Sorry for the bad quality… But Woodi asked Heather to do her Jennifer Aniston impression and it was spot on!

What I wore

I found some similar Kendra Scott inspired earrings for less than $20!!! Go get these now!

I wore the same Kendra Scott earrings as Saturday night (which are sold out), same black Joe’s pants, H & M tank (sold out), and these Target wedges!

These are the Target wedges!

Tomorrow I will be doing a recap of my first experience at the Texas State Fair!
